None. FreelyMemo does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers.
All notes, settings, and preferences are stored locally in your browser using built-in storage APIs (storage.local and storage.sync). This works on both Chrome and Firefox. By default, your data never leaves your device.
When you enable sync, your notes are encrypted on your device before transmission:
Sync is entirely optional. If you never enable it, no data is ever transmitted to our servers.
If you choose to upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Polar (polar.sh). Polar handles your payment information directly — we never see or store your credit card details. A license key is generated by Polar and stored locally in your browser to verify your Pro status.
Pro license keys are validated against Polar's public API at most once every 24 hours. This check transmits only the license key and our organization ID — no personal data, note content, or browsing history is ever sent.
FreelyMemo does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry in the extension. We do not track which websites you visit or what you write.
FreelyMemo requests the following browser permissions:
Uninstalling FreelyMemo removes all locally stored data. You can also clear extension data from your browser's settings at any time.
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
